IMI is accepting applications for 2008 camps
The International Masonry Institute is accepting applications for their 2008 Masonry Camps through April.
Located at the John J. Flynn BAC/IMI National Training Center in Bowie, Md., Masonry Camp is a nationally recognized design/build educational program attended by young architects and masonry craftspeople from across North America. The IMI created Masonry Camp more than a decade ago for two reasons: to foster collaboration between designers and builders, and to invest in the future of good masonry design and construction.
IMI Masonry Camp brings together International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers apprentices and young designers to experience the masonry crafts firsthand — brick and block, tile, terrazzo, stone, plaster and restoration — and to understand the advantages of collaboration between craft-workers and designers.
Masonry Camp is presently only open to intern architects and BAC masonry apprentices. Application information can be found on the IMI Web site.
