Masonry code revisions proposed The Masonry Standards Joint Committee has proposed revisions to the 2005 editions of its Building Code Requirements for Masonry Structures (ACI 530-02/ASCE-5-02/TMS 402-02) and Specification for Masonry Structures (ACI 530.1-02/ASCE6-02/TMS 602-02), as well as companion commentaries.
Proposed changes to these documents, along with the rationale for the major changes, are posted on The Masonry Society’s Web site. The public comment period was tentatively scheduled to end May 31, 2007. Public comments submitted during this period will be considered in accordance with the rules of the sponsoring organizations. www.masonrysociety.org
