ASTM names board member
Richard W. Reaves, P.E., has been named to the ASTM International board of directors. His term will last from 2007 to 2009.
Reaves is the North American sales manager for Troxler Electronic Laboratories Inc., a Research Triangle Park, N.C., designer and manufacturer of precision test and measurement equipment for the highway construction industry. Reaves has also been a nuclear testing engineer and state materials engineer for the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
An ASTM International member since 1986, Reaves is currently the chair of Subcommittee D04.21 on Specific Gravity and Density of Bituminous Mixtures. He also serves on committees C09 on Concrete and Concrete Aggregates, D04 on Road and Paving Materials, and D18 on Soil and Rock. He holds memberships on the Transportation Research Board’s committees A2E06 on Basic Research and Emerging Technologies Related to Concrete and A2J03 on Mineral Aggregates.
